Since its opening in 1992, Disneyland® Paris has established itself as the leading tourist destination in Europe, welcoming more than 215 million visits and growing from a single park and hotels to a vibrant multi-day resort destination. Today, the Resort hosts two Disney Theme Parks, seven Disney-themed hotels, several partner hotels and apartments in vacation residences, two convention centers, the Disney Village - the largest entertainment complex in France outside of Paris - and first-class golf courses. With the 5th largest convention center in France, we provide tailored solutions for business events, hosting 1,000 events each year, ranging from seminars and conferences to park-wide private events. Adjacent to Disneyland® Paris is Val d'Europe, a new town that sprung forth from a public-private partnership started in 1987 between French authorities and The Walt Disney Company. Concretely, the "triangle of decision" formed by the State, the local authorities and Euro Disney made it possible to develop this "real town", fully anchored in the Paris region and in perfect harmony and complementarity with the "imaginary town" that is Disneyland Paris, all the while contributing to one of the initial objectives of the public-private partnership: to balance economic development in the Paris region towards the East. Since 2002, the town has emerged as an important economic hub east of Paris and now has 22,500 residents (5,000 in 1989) and 21,000 jobs. Its commercial shopping centers, including La Vallée Village outlet center, draw visitors from the entire region.
Easy accessibility contributes to the Resort's success. Paris is a short 35-minutes hop on Paris' suburban train network. An extensive highway network and abundant parking make visiting the area fast and easy for motorists. The TGV/Eurostar - the #1 TGV hub in France - and nearby two international airports round out this important transportation hub: that is the face of Val d'Europe today.
