Our special charity events bring Disney Magic into the lives of children and their families. By partnering with the community, we raise funds for charities big and small, local, national and international.
From October 26 to November 21, the Disney VoluntEARS mobilized next to the Unicef volunteers of Bailly-Romainvilliers for children's right to identity and their access to health. This action of solidarity led by Unicef to improve and promote children's conditions in the world is naturally echoed in Disneyland Paris' commitment in favour of children.
On June 22, the Rêves charity auctioned off unique Mickey ears designed by 20 European stars, including Vanessa Paradis, Zinedine Zidane and Phil Collins. Proceeds from the sale will finance the fulfillment of wishes for children with serious medical conditions. Since its creation 15 years ago, Rêves has worked hand in hand with Disneyland Paris to offer children with serious medical conditions unforgettable visits to the world of Disney. Disneyland Paris and Rêves have together fulfilled nearly 1 000 wishes through the Disney Wish Program (8 000, including other charities).

On June 19, Princess Alexandra, the Queen of England's cousin, invited to Buckingham Palace Disney Ambassador Julien Lothier and four children from Starlight Children's Foundation, a charity that fulfils the dreams of children with serious medical conditions. After the morning reception, the children crossed the Channel and were invited by Disneyland Paris to spend a magical weekend in The Place Where Dreams Come True in Europe. Princess Alexandra is a patron of Starlight Children's Foundation, which has long worked with Disneyland Paris to fulfil wishes.

On May 20, 2009, Mickey met with famous French tennisman Gaël Monfils at Disneyland Paris for a magical match on Main Street USA ®. As part of a Disney Solidarity Day park visit, Disneyland Paris invited 200 children from the Fête le Mur charity to watch the showdown and even participate in a very special doubles match. Fête le Mur provides tennis lessons and encouragement to children from 25 disadvantaged urban areas throughout France. It is among the many local and European associations partnering with Disneyland Paris to brighten the lives of children and their families.
