Environmental Care

Earth Day 2010

Earth Day was celebrated at Disneyland Paris on April 15th. Through an interactive exposition, its Cast Members were able to discover the steps taken by the company to reduce its environmental impact as well as learning how to limit their own person impact. As part of this event, Disneyland Paris had the honour of welcoming Olympic medallist, Jean Galfione.

This year, two themes were highlighted - biodiversity and greenhouse gas reduction. This internal initiative was developed in partnership with a number of local organisations and businesses and also received special accreditation for '2010, International Year for Biodiversity' by the Minister for Ecology, Energy, Sustainable Development and Planning.

Disney Conservation Report

The Walt Disney Company's rich legacy of respect for the planet and all its inhabitants began with Walt himself and continues on today. A new Disney Conservation Report, now available online by clicking here, provides an overview of The Walt Disney Company's efforts to save wildlife and wild places and engage people of all ages in conservation, as well as snapshots of some of Disney's most important initiatives. There are four distinct sections: Inspiring Conservation, Saving Habitats, Providing Conservation Grants through the Disney Worldwide Conservation Fund and Delivering Excellence through Disney's Animal Programs.
