Earth Day 2011

"Earth Day" at Disneyland Paris occured on 7 April 2011. For the 15th consecutive year, this event allowed Cast Members to gather around an exhibition and to celebrate together the commitments made by the Company and its partners in favor of the environment. This was also a privileged day to discover or rediscover proper environmental reflexes to adopt every day at work and at home.

3 themes has rhythmed the event this year, the passion to protect, the wisdom to understand, the courage to commit. These messages has been carried by the characters of the Lion King, Timon and Rafiki, who volunteered to guide the Cast Members through the different stands.

Various institutions and companies have shown a growing interest in this type of initiative, like "Maison de l'environnement 77", and have joined the Disneyland Paris teams in their action. This event was part of the various projects supported by the Ministry of the Ecology, of Sustainable Development, Transportation and Habitat, in the context of the week of sustainable development from 1 to 7 April 2011.

A video of the day's events is available on our You Tube channel http://bit.ly/mljJim
