Val d'Europe is an attractive and competitive business center for companies in Ile-de-France. Since 30 September 2009, 1,659 companies from all business sectors have established themselves on more than 145,000 sq. meters of office space, at an impressive rate of 7 new establishments per week in 2009. The region's economic diversification is now under way, as more than a third of the 21,000 jobs created are outside the tourism industry.

Whether it be in the town center, near the RER station or in the business park along the A4 highway, Val d'Europe has great things to offer all types of businesses - small, medium-size or even the regional headquarters of a CAC 40 company. The latest generation office buildings are equipped with top quality services. A KPMG survey carried out in 2008 concluded that the global establishment costs (rent + local tax) for Val d'Europe are among the lowest in Ile-de-France : half that of La Défense, for example, and a third of Paris' 8th arrondissement.

In 2000, an international shopping center opened with 140,000 sq. meters of retail space (including 145 shops and La Vallée Village with 97 outlet shops) and restaurants that attract some 20 million visits per year. Prestigious new stores (especially in home improvement) were added since 2008, and new openings are expected in 2010 and beyond.
