Eurolist

Since early 2005, French companies quoted on the Paris Stock Exchange are gathered in a single regulated market, whatever their size. This market is called Eurolist
All companies in this market have the same regulations and obligations with respect to providing financial information, the publication of their results, and admission to the market.  
Companies are classified into three segments, identified on the basis of their market capitalization:

  • A Segment: Large caps (market capitalization more than €1 billion)
  • B Segment: Mid caps (between €150 million and €1 billion) 
  • C Segment: Small caps (less than €150 million)          

Euronext

An international European exchange formed from the merger of the equity and regulated derivatives exchanges of Paris, Amsterdam, Brussels and Lisbon. 
Euronext Paris, the French arm of the holding company Euronext, has operated the Paris markets since September 2000 and performs the following functions: 

  • Accepting financial instruments on the exchange;
  • Managing memberships and the listing and delisting of securities;
  • Operating the electronic trading systems including recording transactions between exchange members through a clearing house (Clearnet - a subsidiary of Euronext) that guarantees payment and delivery of securities;
  • Providing exchange services for issuers so that they can quote their securities, enabling their financial transactions.
